Velocity Weekly – Louisville, Kentucky
Louisville Courier-Journal – Mar 27, 2008
Meanwhile my flat chest and boyish hips left me envying my friends who were already looking like women when we were just preteens. Things started to change after high school. In college I taught aerobics to earn some extra cash and since I was getting paid to work out you better believe my figure was firm, fit and fly, complete with a six pack. These days, though, I don’t have time to hit the gym like I did back then so my muscle tone is slowly giving way to jiggly bits. Now that womanhood and too much Mexican food have sort of given me some curves my family is rejoicing. While it’s great to have my body celebrated, comments like “You’ll be a little butterball soon,” just don’t seem all that flattering. Each year it gets harder and harder for me to fit into junior sizes and it becomes more evident I’ll never have a body like Rhianna.

)What’s the payoff? As shown by the parking-lot experiment, the claim that Nordic walking is a more physically engaging activity is partly self-evident. But it’s also partly based on research. The Cooper Institute in Dallas is a renowned fitness center where the advantages of aerobic activity were first published decades ago by Kenneth H. Cooper, a medical doctor who wrote the best-selling book “Aerobics.

Rollingcrest-Chillum Splash Pool
Washington Post – Mar 27, 2008
Swimming lessons, water aerobics classes, senior aquatics exercise programs and deep water exercise classes are available. Prince George’s County residents are eligible for an admission discount. Scott Vogel reviewed the rec center’s indoor water park in March 2006 for The Washington Post. The name sounds rather highfalutin for a public facility open to all, but what this center lacks in modesty it more than makes up for in convenience. Just one mile outside the District in Prince George’s County, Rollingcrest-Chillum, open since 1996, is a gentler experience than most, boasting just one major slide that, like Cub Run’s, exits and then reenters the building.
Madonna works out to Britney tunes
MSNBC – Mar 27, 2008
?I usually work out to her record,? Madonna said. ?I do a combination of Pilates and dance aerobics. ?Madonna also got candid about Britney?s ex, Justin Timberlake, who contributed to her new album ?Hard Candy,? which comes out April 29. Earlier this month it was revealed that Madonna had given Timberlake a Vitamin B shot. It wasn?t so she could see his bottom, as Z100’s JJ suggested. ?I mean, I?ve seen enough butt so that?s OK,? she sighed.
Thousands To Participate In Colon Cancer 5K Near Lincoln Memorial
Medical News Today – Medical News Today (press release) – Mar 27, 2008
Sunday, March 30, 2008 WHY: Approximately 150,000 people will be diagnosed with colon cancer this year, and almost 60,000 will die. Promoting awareness could decrease these numbers drastically. Consider Jennifer Puglise’s story: A 31-year-old aerobics instructor from Manassas, Virginia was showing all the symptoms of colon cancer. She was losing weight, had blood in her stool, severe stomach pains, vomiting and was lethargic. She went to her doctor several times and he refused to give her a colonoscopy, because she was “too young for colon cancer. ” On her fourth doctor’s visit, Jen received a colonoscopy, but her cancer was already at stage IV, making it difficult to treat. As one of the less than 10 percent of colon cancer patients under 50, Jen wants to spread awareness to people of all ages who may be showing signs of colon cancer.
